The Body Shop Banana Banane Shampoo and Conditoner Review

Lately, I have been bored with using Dove products for hair care & I wanted to try something new. I am a big fan of TBS & so , I decided to go with their much talked about Banana Shampoo & Conditioner.  It is called the Banana Banane Shampoo & the conditioner is also named the same. This is how the bottle looks:

The sad part is that the contents are not mentioned any where & it's only after I bought the product I got to know that it has Sodium Laureth Sulphate(SFS) in it.

About the Product:

The Shampoo is yellow coloured & has a very yummy, fruity sort of  fragrance. The Shampoo has a more creamy texture whereas I found the conditioner a bit runny. The shampoo does clean the scalp effectively and also removes the oil in one go. However, it caused a bit of a hair-fall. However, within the next few washes, the hair shedding only increased , so I had to completely stop using this shampoo. The conditioner also did nothing to my dull, frizzy hair. I prefer more creamy conditioners as they have a moisturising effect on my hair, but not this one. But my hair did feel very clean & they smelled so good, that I couldn't stop smelling them :-).

No contents on the back of the bottle

Overall Rating-  2/5

Yes, that's true. I am an avid lover of the TBS products, but not this one. I felt so disappointed after using this product. I don't mind paying for a product if it delivers good quality. However, this one is not worth the price. Both the bottles are priced at Rs. 525 each. The only good thing is the smell & that is it. People who do not like the smell of fruits in their shampoos, should not go for this.

The SALE Mania

The SALE season is here & I go totally crazy whenever I go out. With so many options, great items on sale, the stores seem to temptingly invite me towards them. I have this undying urge to buy every thing that they have. But once the sale's over, the party is over. There are time when I find absolutely fantastic deals & I can stock on some fantastic items that I'd been craving for a long time. But there are times when I end up buying something which is umm not so worth it & I regret it later. So, here are some tips that I would like to share with all of you so that you can be a smart sale shopper. Read on:

1.) Make a list
Yes it's very important. And I am not talking about a mental list , but a written one. If not detailed, make sure you jot down  some pointers. It will help you decide & compare amongst what's important or not so important & you can make up your mind accordingly.

2.) Start Early
The sooner the better. Try to hit the stores some where during the starting weeks. If you get very late, you might only have to satisfy yourself with the left overs. There might be some initial waiting in the queues to be done but you can get you hands on some pretty amazing stuff

3.) Don't carry plastic money

I stick to carrying cash, especially whenever I am on a budget. You tend to not realize how much you have spent if you carry your card. It's better if you can have some cash-in-hand & you would know how much you can actually spend.

4.) Buy Classic Stuff first

Grab something really classic first before you get distracted by the other things at the store. For example, grab those fabulous Dior shades that you wanted but they were out of your budget earlier, or that pretty # Zara skirt or those killer #Steve Madden heels. Also, try and research & get something that you think will not go out of style at least in the near time. Not only clothes but stock up on accessories, gadgets, books etc. You are a modern day smart women after all....

5.) Keep your eyes open

This happened to a friend at a cosmetic store. She got excited picking up items at the sale & did not realize that they actually sold testers as well to her. Also, check for expiry dates etc while buying cosmetics. Be cautious!

6.) Check Online for Sale

Your computer is itself a big mall now. If you don't feel like moving your behind, spend some time looking through various websites. Trust me they offer heavy discounts.

And lastly carry a huge bag

Or where else, you are gonna dump all the junk that cha buy ? Silly ! :P :)

Happy SMART Sale Shopping!
xoxo

Aztec Trend

I recently saw the movie 'Cocktail'. Honestly, it bored me to death. The only  good things that I took away from was that wear chunky jewellery & aztec prints this season. You can spot these trends every where, from high end stores to the flea markets. Well, if you are going thrifting in Delhi any time soon, you can find amazing aztec outfits at Sarojini Nagar too.

For those of you who don't know The Aztecs are people from Central Mexico. Their traditional clothing patterns include shades of red,s yellows and blues etc. However, over the time a lot of different colors have been incorporated in this trend.

You would see this print in shorts, skirts, dresses and now phone covers too( I am totally eyeing one of these :P) ...

I-phone Covers

I saw this trend on Kareena Kappor first. This 'All Saints' dress she wore to Karan Johar's birthday party just fits her like glove.

Kareena's  dress: AllSaints

Nail art too has gone Aztec in a big way....
